K-12 CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the liaison between the public school system and Cambridge Teaching Network
- Collaborates with the building principal and staff to help the students achieve academic growth
- Implements and evaluates innovative curriculum and instructional techniques provided for students with direct instruction within the collaborative classroom
- Assists teachers with interpreting data
- Provides assistance to teachers in developing effective data-driven instruction teaching strategies
- Models and assists teachers in the collaborative classroom on how to use content specific interventions for struggling students for the purpose of improving their success in defined academic areas
- Monitors teaching practices for school intervention and remediation
- Supports teachers in the process of improving their learning environments, teaching practices, and overall classroom quality
- Supports the disaggregation of assessment data as it relates to the school, to individual student achievement, and to the improvement of instruction
- Facilitates on-site professional development sessions
- Promotes technology integration into the curriculum
- Plans and provides activities related to parent involvement that would enhance the school’s climate
- Debriefs with and assists teachers with the goal of improving teacher practices and students learning
- Builds capacity among the teachers by improving instructional practices and subsequently effective student learning
- Maintains relationships with colleagues that are characterized by mutual support, respect, and cooperation
- Uses professionalism and approaches others in a tactful and positive manner
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to maintain confidentiality and creates and maintains a positive and conducive work environment
- Possesses ability to present to a group of staff members efficiently and effectively
